weekend stuff
Dec. 17th, 2007 10:42 amThis weekend was a busy one actually. Not because Christmas is only a week away. I have most of my presents already.
On Saturday I've been to Bach's Christmas Oratorio played in a church with two of my collegues. It was quite nice, but I prefer classical concerts without a storyline. Nevertheless it was relaxing and it was hard for me not to take a nap *lol*. I wouldn't have been the only one though. Afterwards I was invited to their place for dinner. Wolfgang cooked pretty good curry. Unfortunately I couldn't eat that much, because it was so late and I know my stomach gets a bit grumpy on late dinner. I was home at about half past one a.m. I really enjoyed this evening and I suggested that I cook for them next year.
Yesterday I met
mhorrighan to watch "The Golden Compass". I've been looking forward to this movie ever since I've seen the first trailer, but unfortunately it was disappointing. They messed up the storyline pretty badly. To all of you you didn't know the books and haven't seen the movie yet. Go read the book!
Now I'm thinking about watching "August Rush", because of Alex's appearance in the film. I'm so curious about his dub voice *lol*. That's pretty much the only reason for me to watch it. I watched the english trailer before the german one and I crinked hearing the dub *urgh*, but IF Moonlight is to be sold to Germany I'd like to know about the dub voice BEFORE watching it on TV. Okay, I'd watch it anyway I guess. But they did such a terrible job on the HEROES dub that I'm worried about a possible ML one :/
Not to mention all the other dub voices. I'm pro OV with subs. That's why the Scandinavians are so good in english anyway. Or you can switch between english and german like they offered it on ARTE with REGENESIS. That would be very nice.
