It's september already? Damn, time flies. August went by in a rush. Probably because there's always been something going on. The weeks were filled with work and the weekend with visits (aunt and uncle and my parents). I've given myself the challenge to fill an entire sketchbook in a month, which led to mornings and evenings pouring over the sketchbook drawing and a lot less time on the internet. And I'm happy to say that I've been successful ^^. Sketches will follow as soon as I've sorted through them.
On August 30th the whole company went on its annual summer trip, which roughly translates to "Drink yourself into oblivion". We went to play soccer golf. I didn't know something like that existed but it was fun watching all the people around me get drunk while I stayed sober. And after that we went to a little hut in the woods to have barbecue, a small campfire and a lot more to drink. I was home at half past one in the morning and totally knackered. The saturday after the event I did nothing but sleep, eat and watch telly. Thank god, this only happens twice a year (the christmas party will be next).
Yesterday I finally got the new mattress I ordered and I hardly want to get out of bed. It's so wonderful to sleep properly again. I still need to get used to it but it's great to sleep in my bed again. Now I just need to get the old one into the cellar :/.
Personal accomplishment of today: getting my lazy ass out into the pouring rain and running two laps around the block. The feeling afterwards was priceless. I didn't even mind being drenched with rain. And it made the hot shower even better :).
The rest of the day will be spent with napping, watching Veronica Mars (I finally finished GoT season 3 today) and drawing.
Right, I haven't posted any of my studies for the 100 Things Challenge in ages. I'm still on it but I lost kind of track the past few months. Anyway, without much further ado, here are the latest ones.
I've dusted off my tablet to do another digital study for the challenge. I know that an apple isn't very original, but since I have a bunch at home I figured an actual life study would be a good thing to do.
Here's the latest study for the 100 things challenge. Again an entry for CGHub's Anatomicae Challenge. The subject was light and fog of concert pics. It was fun again, but fog really is a pain in the ass to draw o_O. And the result turned out monochromatic as well.
Here's the next study for the challenge. It was also the topic of a challenge over at CGHub, so I thought why not combine the two. It was required to do a hand study in a praying position, in cuffs or pulling rope. I went for a hand position used for meditation.
Another one for my 100 digital studies challenge. This time it's really rainbow hair. At least 7 colors. I admit that I could have spent more time on it. Shading is a bit under-developed, but I hope you like it anyway :)
Number two of the challenge is a study of a secretary bird. I like doing bird studies, so I'm sure there are some more to come during the challenge. Enjoy :)
